NEU im BVR: LI WALLIS
Li Wallis is a filmmaker whose work combines striking visuals, immersive music, and thought-provoking storytelling. She began her career as a fine-art painter and later expanded into humanitarian filmmaking across Africa, South America, and Asia - a body of work recognized by the United Nations ECOSOC and the Clinton Global Initiative. Her debut feature, "Flights of Reverie", shot in Germany, had its European premiere in Berlin at the Babylon Cinema on 26th January 2026 as a sold-out, immersive event blending film, live music, fashion, and art - a love letter to her adopted city. Originally from the American South, Li now splits her time between Berlin and London, where she is developing her next feature, The Assembly, through her company, Midnight Odyssey Produc-tions.
I’m truly happy to be joining the BVR and grateful for the welcome. I’ve signed up for many of the Berlinale-related events and am very much looking forward to connecting with fellow members over the coming days and learning as much as I can.
HERZLICH WILLKOMMEN IM BVR, LIEBE LI WALLIS!

I was sick in bed and couldn’t be there for our Europe-Premiere of “Flights of reverie” two weeks ago. The happier I was meeting director @li.wallis and my Partner @shamov at the Crew call yesterday.
Several years ago, I had a wild idea to create and direct a quirky and surreal mystery film. Tomorrow, it hits the silver screen at a sold-out @babylonberlin show. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every crew member, my cast, musicians, and all the incredible people who helped bring this to life. Here we go. See you tomorrow 🎬✨
