Just sitting over here in disbelief that today, 18 years ago I started my first day in makeup school.

I packed my belongings straight outta highschool at 18, and left everything/everyone I knew here to move to California and attend an amazing school I toured. I fell in love with it, and wouldnโt settle for anything less. (Wasnโt sure how I would pay for it and my apartment, but my tenacity carried me through)
This may seem normal/not a huge deal to most, but being that I knew not a single soul in Cali, this was a scary move for me.
To this day, Iโm so glad I went. It was one of the best decisions and I loved every minute of my classes, which anyone that knows me, knows I hated everything about school and barely graduated HS if Iโm being honest LOL. I went to school full time 8-5 Monday thru Friday, and worked at the mall 6-10 every night. The days were long but I loved it so much. My school was the best of the best, truly worth every penny, and my teachers were amazing.
Anywho, all this to say, Iโm so proud of little 18 year old me. Iโm so grateful to all of you who have referred me over the years, because without any of you I would have never been here, doing this 18 years later. Whatta dream ๐ฅน
