Premiere of Shaking Not Stirred, written and directed by @carol_ferrone 🤍
We don’t even know where to start with this one… it was deeply moving. The film follows Carol’s brother in law Ralph and his experience living with Parkinson’s, hearing his story in his own words really hit.
What got all of us wasn’t just the reality of the disease, but the love between Carol, Ralph and the family. It’s something really special, you could feel it in every moment. There honestly wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
But what really moved with us was the strength in Ralph’s outlook. Choosing to focus on the good, even in the hardest moments, is powerful. As he said so perfectly: “I have Parkinson’s… Parkinson’s doesn’t have me.”
If there’s one thing that stayed with us, it’s this: life, time and family is everything.
We’re proud to share the night raised over $10,000 for @shakeitupaust to support finding a cure. Such an important cause and one we should all get behind.
A huge congratulations to you Carol, we couldn’t be more happy and proud 🙏🏼 ✨
We’re calling on film makers from around the world to submit their films. Whether the film is made in Lebanon, by Lebanese around the world or touches on Lebanon, we’d love to see it as part of our consideration for LFF 2026. To submit, head to our website, LFF.org.au, or head to Film Freeway.

Our hearts are breaking for Lebanon 🇱🇧
Over one million people have been displaced, with families struggling to meet their most basic needs during a time meant for togetherness, particularly over Eid and Easter.
Today, we’re encouraging support for Sofra Lebanon — a grassroots initiative that keeps local restaurants open while delivering hot meals to displaced families across Lebanon.
If you’re able, please donate or share: 👉 [link temporarily in bio]
Every meal is dignity, solidarity, and hope.We stand with Lebanon 🤍

Eid Mubarak 🤲 🕊️ ❤️
We extend warm wishes of peace, reflection and renewal to all who are celebrating.
This Eid arrives during a time of profound sorrow for Lebanon. Our hearts are with the hundreds of thousands who are displaced and with those mourning loved ones lost amid the ongoing war.
We stand in solidarity with families and communities enduring grief, uncertainty and hardship. This is not a way to celebrate what should be an otherwise joyous occasion after a month of fasting and sacrifice.
May this Eid bring moments of togetherness and may a lasting peace and dignity prevail.

The Lebanese Film Festival Australia mourns the passing of Her Excellency Dame Marie Bashir AC CVO, former Governor of New South Wales.
We had the honour of meeting Her Excellency in April 2012 during her tenure as Governor. What stayed with us long after that meeting was her warmth, her generosity of spirit and her enthusiasm for the Festival that was soon to launch. She understood the power of culture, storytelling, and community and she encouraged our mission with sincerity and passion for her own Lebanese heritage.
May God rest her soul.
Our deepest condolences go out to her family, her loved ones and all of NSW during this time of loss.
We send our love, prayers, and strength to the victims, their families and the entire community following the tragic attack on a Chanukhah Festival in Bondi.
Together, let’s stand for peace and compassion.
Sydney is at its best when we are together.
With Thy Spirit is the final in the trilogy of short films showing in Melbourne this Saturday night at Hoyts Northland. Don’t miss it. Tickets on sale now at LFF.org.au.
