My mission with creating my art is to always keep things as circular as possible, so the vast majority of all my materials is reclaimed or secondhand. I source materials from op shops, marketplace, and the community, to keep usable yarn from ending up in landfill. My work is inspired clowns, 80s horror films, and ocean life. I enjoy exploring fun shapes, textures, and colours in my work, which usually ends up with vibrant clowncore headwear that makes a statement. I’m always open to trades for my art! My first filet crochet piece ✨ I used a 2mm hook and 130 grams of cotton thread If anyone has any advice about how to frame and display filet crochet I’d appreciate it since I haven’t yet figured out how I’m going to display this. I’m thinking I should probably frame it since it needs a dark background for the colour and image to pop, and hanging bare against a white wall does not do it justice.

It’s a little fishy pouch test 🐠 pattern by @hookandhexes This works up super quick and is such a fun little pouch. There are so many fun colour combos that would look amazing with this project, and it’s a good scrap buster. The pattern will be out soon so keep an eye out.
