Season highlight for sure! My obsession with helicopters continues...
The rocks and light are all so 🤌dramatic🤌 on the Wapta traverse. Big ancient things letting you take a walk on them. But the slightest rise of a hackle and suddenly ice would crack or warming snow would rumble down a mountain. Or the time the wind started howling out of nowhere. Drew turned to me and yelled, "I think we're being asked to leave!" and so we scurried off the ridge like little rodents and were happy to hole up in our tiny hut that night. Safely staring at the glaciers through the window as dusk fell.

Back from 5 days on the Wapta traverse, a Canadian classic high in the Rockies. We meandered glacier after glacier. Walked ridge lines at 3000m. Roped up and skirted crevasses. Sometimes woke in the dark to creep under blue ice, heard it rumbling farewell after we had passed.
We also ate a lot of cheese on snowboards, rolled out sore muscles with Nalgenes, shared snacks and tales on the skin track.
It was one of those journeys that feels strange to come back from. My mind is still in the mountains.
Heading off on the Wapta traverse for the next 5 days. A classic Canadian traverse I've always wanted to do! Gotta dodge some crevasses but weather's looking good ☀️ Love y'all 🩵

Hell of a journey, team. Big thanks to an excellent hut trip with the Big White patrol gang. Stayed at Wheeler Hut and went up to the Asulkan hut. (And no, that wasn't us who set off that avalanche.)

I didn’t know what to expect from a lodge full of women. Was I expecting it to be supportive? Yes! But would it be as fun, wild and high-energy as trips with the boys?
Short answer: absolutely YES‼️
If you’ve ever dreamed of a heli ski trip but hesitated because you didn’t want to be the only woman in a competitive, male-dominated group, this is your sign.
@aeroski.reisen x @cmh_heli created something special. From glitter to glaciers, we hyped each other up, pushed limits, and had the best time doing it.
New friends, unreal lines, unforgettable memories 🤍 Still not over it.
