*WEAKLEY SHABBAT TUNE*
It has been quite a week! I’m sure we can all feel ourselves begin to let go of the tension we’ve been holding for two years. I knew I needed to write a melody to capture that feeling, and this reading immediately came to mind. While working at Larchmont Temple the past 3 years and training kids for their B’nei Mitzvah, this was a reading we did as an entry into Mi Chamocha. For a while, I didn’t understand why these were the words we chose to say before the prayer, but now it all makes sense to me. It is our song of freedom. It is a song of redemption. Now, more than ever, these words make sense.
I’m so honored to be joined this week by Mia Fram Davidson who is my clergy partner at Central Synagogue. It has been such an honor to work together and I always look forward to leading together!
Please enjoy this tune! Shabbat shalom!

I’m back!! After a long break, I’ve “returned” for a new Shabbat sharing piece. I wrote this while home sick with COVID this past week and after missing my first Rosh Hashanah with Central Synagogue. Although I was incredibly sad to miss it, it left me a lot of time for reflection, which led me to write this. Enjoy “We Return To Our Hearts.” Shanah Tovah and Shabbat Shalom! uh
Today is a very meaningful day. Today is the anniversary of my grandfather Don’s death. I never got to meet him, but I am proud to be named after him. And I am even more proud to be sharing his story in my original musical, “Autopilot.” May his memory be a blessing and may this story continue to inspire.

Even though I’ve already shared this one a while back, I think we all need this prayer right now. The world just feels so broken. It’s almost hard to comprehend. I just pray tomorrow will be better than today. My rendition of Hashkiveinu.

Shabbat shalom everyone! I’m so happy to be back with another Weakley Shabbat Tune after the craziness of the High Holy Days has died down a bit. I wanted to share my original melody of Mah Tovu, especially in this time of Sukkot. We share our gratitude for the world around us and the ability to dwell and pray together. I hope you enjoy! Chag Sameach!

Shabbat Shalom! I wanted to share my original setting of Ozi V’Zimratya. I wrote this melody this week, after these words jumped out of the prayer book and straight to my heart. I have felt the need (especially recently) to lean on whatever greater being is out there and I am so grateful that I have been given the strength through that faith to be resilient and persevere. Please enjoy this melody!
