Save this for your next visit to Yosemite’s high country ⤵️ Tioga Road is typically open to vehicles from late May or June until sometime in October or November, depending on the snow. Plowing typically begins around April 15. And today, May 15th at 8am, it reopened! Because of its seasonality, a visit to this part of the park is truly rewarding! Here’s what you need to know for your next visit to Tioga Pass in Yosemite National Park: 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 ➡️ ENTRANCE/EXIT *The Tioga Road Entrance near Lee Vining is the most direct entrance. If you’re come from highway 395 this is the most convenient route. *The Big Oak Flat Entrance is also a great option, especially for those coming from Northern California and The Bay. You’ll start your drive into the park and within 15 minutes be on Tioga Road. *The El Portal entrance is most convenient for those coming from the 5 or 99 freeways south of Merced. You’ll reach Tioga Road in about 25 minutes upon entering the park *The South entrance is the longest way in and I would recommend this unless you planning on spending part of your time in the valley 🥾 HIKES Lembert Dome Loop Trail 3.8 miles | 839 ft elevation gain | moderate Soda Springs and Parsons Memorial Lodge Trail 1.4 miles | 85ft elevation gain | easy Cathedral Lakes Trail 9.5 miles | 1,663 ft elevation gain | moderate Pothole Dome 1 mile | 190 ft elevation gain | easy Tuolumne Grove Trail 2.7 miles | moderate | 623 ft elevation gain ❣️ SCENIC STOPS/VIEWPOINTS Tenaya Lake Olmsted Point Siesta Lake Would you go?
