I’m behind @levuewithlove (maternity + family), @thelevueloft (Union Square studio), and @kidscameraclubnyc . As well as @puppyjamnyc Puppies and Live Music.
At some point I picked up a camera… and haven’t put it down yet.
I never had some grand plan—but people kept asking me to show up for them. And I kept saying yes.
What started as passion slowly became responsibility.
Then business.
Then survival.
15 years later… that turned into 99% work, 1% play.
Do I still love this?
I’m really sitting with it, and what seems to be the answers are interesting to me.
The moments I love most are:
– when I’m creating freely, experimenting, playing
– and when I’m giving someone an experience that brings comfortability, fun, and memories
Not just photos… an experience.
That’s the thread. That’s why I’m here.
I realized people don’t create their best work—or feel their best—when they’re trying to “perform.”
They do it when they’re comfortable. When they feel safe enough to just BE.
So I built spaces around that.
Spaces where you can relax.
Let your guard down.
And maybe perform a little less… 🤏🏾
Because that’s where the real stuff lives.
So whether you’re shooting with me, or using one of my spaces—
that’s the goal:
Less performance.
More honesty.
Better art.
And for me?
I’m working on getting back to that balance too.
Less 99% work.
More play.

Fine Art Study. I asked @susanhu33 in the middle of her work day at @levuestudios to do a 15 min test shoot with no prep, makeup, etc. This was the result. Pretty happy with it.
