Last year on this day, I left my home in Armenia and moved to France to pursue a career in film and comedy— a very uncommon thing to do for a Syrian-Armenian. However, I wouldn’t have even thought about taking such step if it wasn’t for all the people I had around me. My big family. I love and miss you dearly. Including @gareeen and @vazken.a.98 . I hope I don’t disappoint you…
What I wasn’t aware was that I was about to meet people who will somehow make me feel like home, despite being from different parts of the world. From the first open mic at @blastoffcomedy , both @boumalhab49 and @divyasooninparis welcomed me as one of their own. From then, I got to meet some of the most amazing personalities who inspire, educate and make me laugh on weekly basis. I’m talking about @watsgoingonman . And let’s not forget about @terrencewwong for being my Mitzi Shore (credit to @alex.e.morgan for the reference).
And then, I had my first class at @ecole3is and met these fuckers. It has been a pleasure working, learning and getting wasted with you. We shared some awesome memories that I will never forget.
Thank you Paris for giving me the gift of meeting amazing people and being the perfect city for me to start my stand-up and film career.
This is only the beginning…
