“Things we never told you” is a foot-powered film about splitboarding in an ever changing world. The film touches on the ongoing conversation surrounding global warming without delving too heavily into the subject, serving as a lighthearted spin around a rather serious situation. Starring @leviluggen and @gregorbetschon , the film does well to recognize the problem without pretending to give the answer for it. Instead, the video focuses on answering the question of what snowboarders will do in the face of low snowfall threatening their way of life. It does so through its celebration of the only thing we know for certain about our collective future: No matter the weather, snowboarders will always adapt to make the best of the situation we’re in.

🏔️Nadelgrat: A cold start on loose, icy rock, then flow kicked in and some beautiful climbing followed towards the last peaks.
🧊Spaghetti Tour: From Klein Matterhorn over Castor, Liskamm, Parrotspitze & co. to the Mantova hut. Long, spectacular, rewarded with pasta… and zero sleep in the packed hut!
⛰️Aletsch: A day of climbing on the Strahlhorn with slabby pitches, blocky ridges, and stunning vistas over the aletsch glacier and into the Goms valley.

Fewer tours than planned, but I enjoyed every single one of them. Now it’s time to switch into winter mode. Hopefully with plenty of deep snow and more alpine adventures ahead.

Pocket-smashing and safety refresh day ❄️🤍
A few powder turns in the morning, then avalanche rescue drills and crevasse hauling systems after lunch at @aletschhornbelalp
On the last frame you see an avalanche I spotted yesterday from a distance. A face that has often been ridden in similar danger levels (2+ yesterday) and always held in the past.
No blame, no judgment, just a reality check: this season feels different. Persistent weak layers are changing what we think we know about stability in large parts of the alps.
It also made me think of Craig Kelly and the book „The Darkest White“ (also on Spotify). I’ve got a copy here in Switzerland and would love to pass it around. Let me know if you want it.

On a créé le projet Paradigme il y a déjà dix ans avec Thierry Sermier.
Aujourd’hui, il revient avec une box exclusive, remplie de superbes visuels.
Il m’a demandé de refaire une vidéo avec mes meilleurs footage de ce tournage.
Paradigme, c’était une année spéciale.
Des conditions de neige exceptionnelles, des ambiances uniques, des moments magiques.
Choisir les images n’a pas été simple.
Je n’ai pas forcément retenu les plus gros tricks.
J’ai choisi dans mes souvenirs les instants où tout semblait s’aligner.
Chaque image raconte une petite histoire : un moment où la nature, le terrain et les personnes autour créaient quelque chose d’inoubliable.
Je vous laisse apprécier ces moments magiques en musique.
