We bought Vutie Beets with nearly no interest in coffee but during lock down that love grew 🌱
There was no speciality coffee in all of Letchworth and nobody roasting coffee in the town. When the opportunity presented itself to take on the building next to ours we knew we had to start our roasting journey.
It has truly been one of the best experiences since opening the shop, all the learning curves, how many different factors impact the roast and how to get the best from each coffee. We really hope you guys are enjoying the coffee as much as we are.
Seeing you all get curious & excited with us, joining our workshops and helping you build upon your own personal set ups is like the cherry on top of all our discoveries too.
We haven’t even scratched the surface yet and can’t wait to bring you so many exciting coffees this year!

We have been stocking @darkroomcraftchocolate for a few months and it really is the best chocolate around.
At the weekend I was staying close by and went to visit Mike and the team.
Seeing their craft in person you understand why the chocolate is so good. The attention to detail and the meticulous pursuit of making the best possible chocolate.
Mike explained the whole process of taking the chocolate from bean to bar and kindly gave us a tasting of three different chocolates.
We will now be serving their Ugandan hot chocolate as well as an 80% washed Mexican chocolate. A medium-roasted Mexico Lavado with low levels of sweetness and notes of deep, dark chocolate torte. Even higher in flavonoids and theobromine than its 70% equivalent. A super intense drink for your dark chocolate lovers!

During lockdown we got seriously lucky and had the opportunity to get our hands on our ultimate dream machine, this @lamarzocco Strada, from a café that was closing down. I couldn’t say no.
What I didn’t realise? The luck had run out! It was held together with cheap repair parts that loved to fail right in the middle of a rush. Causing me headache after headache.
So we handed it over to @brew.dynamics for a full refurb… and while we were at it, we had it repainted in our LGCo colours.
The result? Absolute perfection. Shes looking insane, and the coffee coming out tastes better than ever. We couldn’t be happier!

Coffee has always been a massive part of our day. It's how we get started. Whether we're heading to work or out for a skate or on a good trip. It's the foundation. It sets the tone.
Shortly after starting Have A Gd Trip, I had the luck of meeting Harry. A good dude and the founder of Level Ground Co. Our local coffee roastery. After a couple months going into see him on a daily basis I explained to Harry how good coffee underpinned the start of every skate session, every road trip, everyday. And he offered us the chance to work together. So I jumped at it.

Surprisingly we didn’t see anyone to give away any free coffees to today. They had the right idea and stayed inside!
