Free Origami Workshop of Cubes, Prisms, & Pyramids Date: Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026 Time: 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm (90 minutes) Location: Remedy Cafe on Whyte 10479 - 82 Avenue Unwind, get creative, and fold your way into a little pocket of calm. Join us for a free origami workshop where we’ll explore simple, beautiful paper‑folding techniques that transform flat sheets into eye‑catching geometric sculptures. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned crafter, this session is all about slowing down, playing with color and form, and enjoying the soothing rhythm of folding. Come for the creativity, stay for the relaxation. Origami paper is provided— just bring yourself and your curious spirit. What’s Happening: Learn how to fold one, two or three awesome 3D origami shapes - cubes, prisms, & pyramids You're welcome to pick and choose which shape(s) you want to fold Experiment with color, structure, and design You can bring your own origami paper, if you want to. (Optional) Team up (or go solo) to tackle a mystery build challenge using only the shapes you’ve made. Come play board game prototypes at the West Jasper Sherwood Community League! Join us at the hall on Saturday, January 31st between 12:30-9:00PM to try out some new board games! Local game designers are bringing out their newest board games for the community to try. Come out to meet new people, be the first to play a new game, and provide feedback to the artists to improve their craft!

Last year at @yegcatfest we met @letspopyeg and they made the coolest Lego cats! We asked if they ever considered making a Lego Sphynx! They hadn’t made one before but this year they came and found us and guess what they made and gifted to us?! You guessed it-a very cool sphynx! We think they nailed it, the ears definitely make it a Sphynx. We adore it and can’t wait to see what they create next year for Cat Festival!
