@silksplaceyilan truly stole the spotlight especially for kiddo - here after checking in, they can drive any vehicle and also have the perk of choosing and changing to any car and motorbike from 9am to 10pm if you book the room on level 8th and 9th!
There’s also jumping castle, kids club with unlimited drinks and snacks, and movie screening specially catered for younger child (it was Mufasa and Moana 2 when we stayed there but all movies are dubbed in Mandarin).
Ps: try their roasted cherry duck done in 5 ways - advanced booking is needed but their duck skin nigiri wont disappoint 🤤

Sweet or Savoury, thick or crispy thin.. Martabak is one of the most popular Indonesian street food!
It’s actually a buttery pancake filled with toppings of your choice (the original one will have chocolate sprinkle, crushed peanut, grated cheese, sesame seed, condensed milk). Some takes it to a new level (they call it Martabak Sultan) where fancy toppings like Toblerone chocolate, Nutella, Ovomaltine, Oreo are used.
So when we heard @martabakpecenongan78australia opened their door in Melbourne, we decided to pay a visit! We ordered Beef Egg Martabak (savoury type - thinly stretched, fried and flaky) and the “Thin and Crispy” with chocolate and peanut topping!
Note: the order time for Martabak starts from 4pm (make sure to pre-order through their website system) as currently it takes 1-2 hours to get your freshly made order!
ALSO!! Wish it’d be more buttery and more organized though, but given they just opened 7 weeks ago, there’s still room for improvement 😌

Don’t forget to try Toji Soba (投じそば) since Narai-juku is famous for their high quality, hand made buckwheat soba noodles. We had ours at Kokoro Oto and here we’re to dip small portions of cooked buckwheat noodles inside the cute wooden basket into a boiling pot of broth filled with wild vegetables, mushrooms, and meat.
