Here’s how it works, in Kana’s words:
“Think of me as a tape recorder playing your brilliance and vision back to you and as a warm guide highlighting where your writing can be improved, clarified, and strengthened. I focus first on understanding what you’re going for and then on giving actionable, direct, and kind story notes on the elements of: character, voice, plot/logic, structure, pacing, and more.
Whether you envision a raunchy ensemble comedy, a magical realist indie, a workplace sitcom with a twist, a slow burn drama, a packet of sketches, or your first short – I work with screenwriters and producers of all genres and mediums. (And even some podcasters, book writers, casting directors, etc).
By having a conversation, I get to further understand your vision/what you’re going for and I can share what’s showing up on the page. Here we’ll go deep into your emotional/intellectual core of your story and come up with creative solutions together.”
