Working with a smaller team at @ninasrealfoodjbay yesterday. • It’s a strange contrast that we must face in a place like South Africa between the more well off and the less well off in this country. • Either way it does give motivation to try do what little we can to help each other. Jeffrey’s bay is so fortunate to be able to have support from the community and beyond to do what we can to support the town and its greater surroundings. • Big shout out to @ninasrealfoodjbay and all their staff for helping and of cause Cheron and Steve for the storage and driving around (and special mention to @louisa_lightfoot ). Come rain or shine, amazing to see we don’t stop! And finally to the people still following and supporting us, this only stops when you stop supporting so please keep it up 🙏🏽🙌🏾🔥❤️

We’ve been a bit quieter on the socials but with the massive out poor of support towards the end of last year with @mikeyfebruary and @jordysmith88 in collaboration with @monsterchildren , @cisurfboards and @smthshapes we managed to get a new full truck load of life saving food as new came of the near future looking like more tough times. It may not be an extremely colorful photo but we needed to inform all of you on how we’ve been able to impact the community these past few weeks and what an impact your support continues to have to our greater community. • This picture was taken outside of One Village. One village informed us that they are feeding approximately 4000 people a week. This day we saw them load what we’d consider a fairly useless little box of goodies for a soup kitchen. The amount of super meal we provide will actually be able to fill the bellies of those who show up to these places rather then get turned down. • We are unbelievable lucky to have such awesome organization around Jbay that allow us to distribute to such a wide area. CALLING ALL MEMBERS OF THE JEFFREYS BAY COMMUNITY! • • • We need your help!!!! Over the past few weeks a very dedicated but also very small group of volunteers have been putting in imaginable amounts of blood sweat and tears to get what has become apparent is an only meal to children and adults alike. • Unfortunately the demand is so high we are having serious trouble working hard enough. THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN! • We know many have supported heaps already with money and effort. If you are living in or around jbay, please, please, please come down and give a few hours to help feed the overwhelming amounts or people in need. • We have an incredible network of selfless community members who are helping cover a massive area through different organizations, schools and churches. • We desperately need more hand on deck. Update on progress: We’ve been quiet on social media but loud on the front lines. • The 10 tons of maize and soy meal got successfully delivered to our shores and we’ve started the painstaking task of splitting the product into smaller distribution sizes with instructions on how to use it (volunteers are in desperate need so message us your number). We have already managed to get the first ton into the hands of the people in need. We have once again been shocked by the demand that is needed for food in our underprivileged area’s. • Not only supplying to the homeless but to schools, old age homes and hospitals for mothers in labor. We are trying very hard to get to all the people that have reached out and the product is in high demand so we are hard at work trying to get funds for the next batch (support us by following our bio of by volunteering is you are around Jbay). • Although an independent organization, we believe in giving thanks where thanks is due and this massive operation would not have been possible if not for the incredible push and support from @cheron.kraak (also @wolins and @doomasrumors ) and the @jbaysurfvillage staff plus endless efforts by the Lightfoot family.
