4 years as a brick and mortar! some of you have been here for 8 years, but the @letsbodycraft studio opening always feels like the biggest milestone. this day always makes me nostalgic and reflective 🥹 we have only two sales a year, and one is running right now! you can become a sun member and pay only $25.50/class, or get a 20-pack if the commitment scares you. move virtually with us throughout the summer and get a month free! thank you for moving with me and my incredible team! 🥳🎂

our team works hard! and our favorite way to replenish our bodies is with contrast therapy at @recoverienyc 🫧 honestly so impressed with everyone staying in for 2 minutes! and THAT’S how we stay serving up dance cardio!

so often intelligence is associated with the mind, and the body isn’t seen in that same light. but we believe in the intelligence of our bodies. when we’re moving, this intelligence helps to organize movement pathways, synchronize to the beat, stay spatially aware, synthesize verbal and auditory cues, hold ourselves with a heightened sensitivity in the studio. often we find that when we can let the brain really turn off…that’s when we’re most successful in class. the body flows if we allow it. that same wisdom that offers up answers to the hard questions, the same intelligence that keeps us safe, the same responsiveness that allows for a comfortable homeostasis, that very same intelligence is with us on the mat, on the dance floor, walking through the park. how would we move differently if we truly believed the body was intelligent? that the body itself, not the brain, is brilliant and organized and perceptive and smart? maybe we can try letting the body take the lead more. read more on our substack 💌

last week we talked about how bodycraft came to be. soon after, depth followed, a result of many years of playing around with dumbbells at home, the YMCA, and Planet Fitness. learn a little bit about how founder @emdeers approaches strength training and brings that to life with our depth format. have you tried this class yet? pick up the big ones! 💪
