This week my mother Michele passed away peacefully at the hospital. She had been battling cancer and a rare autoimmune disorder for many years. She spent her final moments with my dad and her best friend. I was lucky enough to see her shortly before and luckier still to speak to her one last time; telling her how important she was to me, how much I owed to her, and how grateful I was to love her and be loved by her.
