DITA ANGELES ON DISPLAY 📣
Highlighting today a few pieces from Dita’s wonderful collection, ‘Pseudoplicity’.
This exhibition is Dita’s debut show at Lethbridge Gallery on display until May 12.
“Pseudoplicity names a performed inauthenticity - a multilayered system in which simulation, repetition and concealment operate as aesthetic strategies”.
Dita’s method of painting multiplicities within her pieces makes each ‘pseudo-woman’ feels manufactured and false, yet exists in a convincing and deliberately fabricated reality.
See these pieces in person at Lethbridge Gallery today or visit our online catalogue at the link in bio. 🔗
