Pinot nero from the Columbia River Gorge, bright, high strung, compelling in flavors with abounding juiciness. We have a handful of @buonanottewines and they are showing so well.
A rose from the trifecta of Champagne grapes. Delicious, in an interesting way. Very savory at first, unexpected to say the least. 301 bottles made. One less to go.
Our latest volume of Cool Kids wine club. Doesn’t get better than two legends: Tissot, amd Moric ehile the younger Pierre Menard shows a new side to the Loire. All three would have these wines can be considered “natural wine” yet they all showcase a classical approach.
You got me this time! A sublime wine. Having had this wine before. This bottle floored me. It had the racy, bright, focused but on the back end am herbal tinge with a lovely mandarin, orange blossom note. And I hope to never forget it. One of my favorite Spanish producers. This Verdejo from 150 year old vines own rooted.
For our Iconic Producers wine club non other than this side by side expression of Chablis at its finest. These “monopole” flagship wines come from the property the Beru family has owned for over 400 years. Athena is de Beru has been making the wine since 2005. The 2018 is showing opened and fruit while the 2021 started austere and radiant and it is won to see it develop in the glass.
One of my all time favorite Champagnes. 100% Chardonnay from a single parcel, 2020 vintage, zero dosage from Coteaux Vitryats, a now mostly forgotten area where Antoine Chevalier is the sole vinifier in the remote village of Vitry-en-Perthois. With a tiny production of 190 cases. This may be my favorite wine of the year. We have 9 bottles left. Please don’t buy them.
