As part of Portlaoise Christmas Festival I’m sharing a work in progress of my one woman show EPIPHANY, inspired by James Joyce’s ‘The Dead’. Produced by @magskeohane directed by @fianatoibin with live music from concert harpist Anne-Marie Papin Labazordière. The performance will be followed by a Q&A with writer @kateheffernanstagram Gretta Conroy has all a woman could ask for - a house on the Kingston line, a gentleman’s family and the love of her reliable husband Gabriel. When a song from the past jolts her to the present, Gretta is compelled to examine everything she holds dear. Themes of desire and family are explored among the ghost weight of the past. Audiences will delight in this bold reimagining of Joyce’s masterpiece, featuring the much-loved characters from this eternal classic. 🗓 Sat 29th November (6.30 - 7.45pm) 📍@ St. Peter’s Church of Ireland, Grattan St, Portlaoise R32 TY29. 👉 €10 🎟 To Book T: 057 866 3355 / Dunamaise Box Office www.dunamaise.ie #linkinbio Huge thanks to this event’s funders @laoistourism & @laoisarts . Thanks to my supporters @artscouncilireland @dlr_arts @dlrmilltheatre @corktheatre @dunamaise.arts.centre Proud to say that every member of the creative team is a parenting artist. #diversity and inclusion #irisharts #mothersinthearts #PortlaoiseChristmas #Laois #christmasseason
