Manifest Monday is our weekly spotlight on Black men who are walking in purpose, using their gifts, and turning vision into impact. This week, we’re featuring Leroy D. Bean—an artist who uses spoken word to connect deeply with the human experience. Through powerful storytelling and authentic expression, he creates space for healing, reflection, and growth. His work reminds us that our stories matter—and when Black men share their stories, it creates space for truth, healing, and transformation. #ManifestMonday #BlackMen #BlackExcellence #SpokenWord #StorytellingMatters #HealingThroughArt #BlackCreatives #PersonalGrowth #DreamChasers

At the final dress rehearsal for Baritone Hue, @keannamdaniels shared one of the reflections that stayed with us most — how deeply this piece connected to her present season. She spoke about flow, surrender, and the importance of not resisting what God is calling her toward. That’s part of what this work has carried from the beginning — not just language, but recognition. Not just performance, but encounter.

A glimpse of what Baritone Hue leaves behind. After attending our final dress rehearsal, Sierra Leone ( @poetsierraleone ) shared her thoughts on the storytelling, the experience of the show, and the lines that continued to live with her afterward. Including this one: “Wonder if God is colonized.” Some work doesn’t end when the scene does. baritonehue.com

There is a lineage to poetry. There is a culture around open mics, features, and live performance. And then there are the moments when an artist is called to build something that stretches beyond the familiar form. Baritone Hue comes out of that place. Not disconnected from poetry culture, but in conversation with it. Not opposed to what already exists, but intentional about offering something distinct. This piece carries poetry, yes — but also narrative, design, concept, atmosphere, and a deeper architectural vision behind the experience itself. This video speaks to some of that history and some of that difference. Tickets available now. baritonehue.com

Baritone Hue is more than a poetry performance. It’s a story you can simply sit in and enjoy — and it’s also a work layered with intention, symbolism, texture, and meaning for the ones who love to look deeper. So whether you’re coming for a powerful night of storytelling or you’re the kind of person who wants to understand the why behind every choice, this piece has something for you. This is what makes Baritone Hue different. Not just poems. Not just performance. An experience with depth, vision, and story woven into every detail. Tickets are on sale now. Come experience it for yourself. baritonehue.com

Big smiles at the fact that I came off a NATIONAL TOUR and jumped straight in as a adjunct for University of Dayton that led to a public show, a quick 2 creative writing workshops for a middle school in Cincinnati, while also preparing to be on a panel to breakdown and discuss Toni Morrison's Beloved for the Dayton Metro Library, WHILE ALSO preparing for Baritone Hue, The biggest project of my life! Don't ask me how lol This is just a reminder to me to celebrate all wins! Its been a massive 6 months 🙌🏾😁 First photo by @byshoncurtis
