The sunscreen paradox.
High-SPF formulations are marketed as the ideal antiaging solution. Research tells a different story. Both chemical and mineral filters, when used in high concentrations, generate free radicals within the skin under UV exposure.

Calendula officinalis is one of nature's most studied photoprotective plants.
Its flowers contain a rare concentration of carotenoids (lutein, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene), flavonoids (quercetin, rutin, isorhamnetin) and triterpenoid esters (faradiol).
