The 50th edition of @chattanooga_noise_night was last night. It was a great mix of old friends and new faces. Still incredibly grateful for this community and looking forward to 50 more noisy nights 💘

The debut set from @the.father.wound at @chattanooga_noise_night was incredibly raucous and all-around fun. Jerry and I got into a screaming match and then I yeeted his ass to the floor, all without losing a titty 😂 Shout-out to @jdmadewell423 for these incredible shots!!!

@leperwitch is the noise/power electronics project of Chattanooga native Dora Robertson, established in 2016. She uses an ever-evolving complex analog setup and harsh vocals intentionally devoid of distortion to craft abrasive and highly confrontational tracks on themes such as mental health, child abuse, and misogyny. She is also a writer with multiple published articles and has been the lead admin at @womenofnoise since 2018. #experimentalmusic #electronicmusic #noisemusic #powerelectronics #industrialmusic

Fun night with @wolf_eyes_official and Breakup Princess. I really needed to attend a fun show again after being sick for days on end.

During my performance at Chattanooga Noise Night last February, I delivered a monologue where I disclosed things from my upbringing that I have never put in the Internet. Much of it is extremely grim. This performance was not for sympathy, it was to make a statement and send a direct message to those who needed to hear it. I don't need to be told how "bad" of a city Chattanooga is because I have lived in it and lived THROUGH it. The passing of Dawid Kowalski has opened conversation surrounding mental health, trauma, and how prevalent trauma-based disorders are among noise musicians. PTSD, C-PTSD, and other disorders shape the narrative of what so many of my peers create noise around, and the same is true for myself. I mentioned this in my stories, but C-PTSD feels like you're carrying your own cross down miles of bad road, and sometimes you start hammering nails because the weight is just too heavy to carry on. I mourn those who could no longer carry the weight, and my voice - as long as I have one - will be used in the name of honesty, braveness, and confrontation when such is warranted. Nobody gets to write my narrative while I have working lungs. In this performance, I didn't mince any words. Chattanooga is an open wound that does not need YOUR salt. I was here before you came, I will be here after you leave. I stay here for my friends, the people I love, because I refuse to leave them behind. Video by @xhiasonx

Flashback to a performance from March of last year. I don't remember who took some of these videos, so let me know if they're your clips!

@leperwitch and @rurntnoise are THE FATHER WOUND The Chattanooga noise scene's worst kept secret is finally out in the open. @the.father.wound is bratty narration and waves of sonic submission, a balancing act of kitsch and catharsis, and the acts of mad scientists breathing life into a dying trope. The first EP, Bring Me the Heart of Amy Bishop, drops this summer (date and other info TBA). Can't wait that long? Get a taste of our wares on Friday, May 15th at Chattanooga Noise Night's 50th edition special. See you soon 🙍🏻‍♀️🔪

Last night's @chattanooga_noise_night was a tri-cities (and Appalachian Virginia) takeover. Extremely lasagna-esque show with many layered acts, some sauce, a little cheese...wait, what are we talking about? There are a ton of other shots I'm still going through this afternoon. Dynamic performers will always be my favorite to photograph 📸

Little morsels: I'm working on something fun with a friend that will make its live debut next month. It's my first real collaborative project and I think y'all will enjoy the kitsch behind it thematically. Think Lydia Lunch fronting early Whitehouse. A few other live shows in cities I've never played are coming up. I'm still working out the details, but an official announcement will be made soon. I have availability for shows pretty much any weekend this summer, so hit me up if you're planning something! Leperwitch shirts will soon be available again, but for now will only be sold at shows since supplies will be limited. There are still plenty of stickers and buttons, so let me know if you want some. The "Noise is Freedom" design is available in sticker form as well. Women of Noise Fest 2026 is in the early planning stages. The lineup is almost complete (NO SPOILERS!) and as always it's going to hit hard and heavy. Mark your calendars for September 18th and 19th, because you won't want to be anywhere else 💥 See you soon some time, somewhere!
