First Sunday of the year .Mama with the First Lady and with two of the ministers . She enjoyed the service . She will be 93 years old on Thurs but 93 is the new 80 when done right ….

With the support and encouragement from 99.9% of the family in Petersburg Va (our home) and Atlanta Ga (where I’ve lived for almost 30 yrs), my mom has relocated here with me and the “Atl Family “ .Since being here, her situations , both health ,social and spiritual has improved noticably to everyone..
I decided recently , because of the constant attention and love shown by my daughters church of 15 years , that mom should join Grace Baptist here. After fellowshiping with her for eight months , the congregation welcomed her with open arms. The members seek her out and go out of their way to “love” on her. At weekly service or when she helping out at the food bank on Tues with the Mother Board,I see the the joy she gets .
This does my heart good because I think ,as a culture , we quickly push our elderly to the side as if they no longer are useful. I’m glad that her grandchildren and great grandchildren here gets to know and share with her in her golden years .She lights up when ever they come over ( 2-4 times a week lol)
But more importantly I get to spend every day and night caring for her because she deserves nothing less …
Tks for all the home town people in Petersburg who have stayed in touch with us with encouragment and supported as she lives her best life here
