I’ll tell you why today is pretty important for me, and it might not be for the reason you think. Some people spend their whole lives searching for a confidant to share their deepest secrets with, without judgment. A true and honest diary. I sit down at the piano as if I were sitting behind a typewriter, transcribing the most intimate passages of my life : exchanges, love, heartbreak, conversations, glances, dreams.
I realised it’s something that has healed me in so many ways, and I feel so damn grateful. People think an instrument is about music, but it’s so wrong. It’s the art of expressing oneself, through the means of a physical instrument. The piano keeps me afloat and guides me, pretty much like a lighthouse. That’s what the piano is for me.
