Last Saturday we hosted an amazing yoga event on our terrace with @dpcyoga and @leonardo.dpc and this is how it went 🧘🏼‍♀️ It was such an amazing day, with good weather, good food, good company and of course amazing yoga! Committing to your practice, your workout, your diet or whatever, means saying no to other things. It means your current lifestyle will change. Things you were used to doing, suddenly you do different. In the beginning, it's hard. Overwhelming. So many distractions. So many things pulling you away. But remember: every time you say yes to your new habit, it’s a small win. And the more wins you collect, the easier it gets. Then suddenly one day, it becomes natural. Each small win, or loss, seems insignificant in the moment. But over time, they compound. Keep going. Our bodies are made to move. If you watch children, you’ll see it naturally. They play. They explore. They have no fear. They fall, they laugh, and they try again. There’s no overthinking. No judgment. Just movement. Somewhere along the way, many adults lose that. They start sitting more. On chairs. On couches. In front of screens. They become still. And slowly, they disconnect from their bodies. But movement is not just exercise. It’s essential for your physical health, your mental health, your energy. It brings you back. Back into your body. Every. Body. Is. Different. It only took me two attempts to go up into #Karandavasana. Why? Because I’ve been a #bboy for more than 20 years. I’ve spent thousands of hours upside down, so those muscles were already developed. But then it took me over a year to get into #Pasasana. And even today I still struggle, especially on my right side. Some days I can’t bind at all. Or for example with #Kapotasana I’ve had some near-death experiences 😂😛 while for others, those postures come naturally.. Please don’t forget: We are all individuals. We all have our own stories. Our own bodies. Don’t compare yourself to others. It’s not about looking perfect. It’s not about having the “best” practice. It’s about showing up. 🪷 Yoga meets you exactly where you are. Leave your ego aside. Enjoy the process. Grateful to have received it from @kinoyoga 🙏🏼 #ashtanga
