House music with lots of Energy!!
I always get inspired by people and situations around me. The most recent inspiration went straight into this set. To begin with,
@murphy.hh , who played an - now already - age old deep house classic which I always loved: “Bigger Than Prince” (Hot Since 82 Remix — if you know, you know) by Green Velvet. Decided to play it too but speed it up like 12-13 bpm or so 🙃. I think this one still works on any dance floor.
Continuing with
@bomchello who I played a spontaneous, pretty sick b2b with a few weeks back at Lilli Escher till well after sunrise. Crazy vibes! You played “The Force” by Demi Riquísimo. I knew this one but only when seeing it being played in front of people, I realized the power of this tune. Thanks for this gem!!
And, lastly,
@tanagabbert who tore things down at the first edition of this event series at Haus 73. The crowd control, the rhythm and dancability (is this a word?!), the UK infused vibes at some points and all of that well before midnight. Really impressive!
All of these latter influences went into my last set at Haus 73. And what a night and vibe it was 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thanks to everyone involved. Love!!
Of course, not everything goes 100% smoothly during a set and night like this, so a little disclaimer: I still don’t fully understand the settings of my Tascam recorder. Unfortunately, 4-5 songs are clipping but fuck it. Creative freedom..I guess.
