Let’s give a warm Summertrios welcome to Leo Sussman, our new Managing Director!
Leo grew up playing chamber music in living rooms and gigging with a salsa band in San Francisco. Now based in Ithaca, NY, he delights in producing imaginative, community-based arts and education initiatives that foster conversation and connection.
Leo brings a wealth of experience from his background as an administrator, educator, and flutist. He has worked with organizations including the Lawrence Chamber Music Festival, Cooperstown Summer Music Festival, and DePauw University, and completed a two-year chamber music and teaching artistry fellowship with Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect.
A quick note from Leo: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Summertrios, an organization that shares my passion for building community through chamber music and creating meaningful artistic opportunities for musicians of all abilities. I can’t wait to meet you at the workshops this June, and feel free to reach out to say hello before then!”
