After more than a year away from releasing new music, leo. returns with a song that feels both deeply personal and quietly powerful. His new single “never enough, never fair” marks the first glimpse into his upcoming EP and signals an exciting new chapter for the indie folk songwriter.
Built on gentle acoustic strums and subtle ambient textures, the track unfolds with a laid back atmosphere that allows its emotional weight to shine through. Even though the song runs for less than three minutes, it carries a strong sense of reflection, exploring the uneasy feeling of wondering whether you are ever truly enough.
The heart of the song lies in its introspective message. Leo wrote “never enough, never fair” during late spring of 2024, a time when he noticed a strange emotional contrast around him. While everyone else seemed to be enjoying brighter days, he felt as though he was always missing the moments that mattered most. That quiet sense of being slightly out of sync with the world became the emotional spark for the track.
Rather than turning the song into something heavy or dramatic, leo. delivers the message with calm honesty. The music blends the intimacy of indie folk with subtle pop sensibilities, creating a sound that feels both timeless and accessible. The arrangement allows the lyrics to breathe, giving listeners space to connect with the feelings behind them.
