Today I passed my U.S citizenship interviews & officially do the Oath Ceremony in a few weeks to be an American. Iām finding it hard to even explain the emotions that are going through me. This means so much to my family & I. Iād like to recognize my Mom for supporting me & my father back in Brazil for making the sacrifice to send his kid out to the USA in hopes of a better future.

- 4) showing NYC to my dad for the first time
- 5) riding the short bus bc I couldnāt speak English
- 6) back in Brazil using games to learn how to read in English
- 7) my cousins & uncles I havenāt seen in years
- 8) me acting like this bus didnāt scare me & I didnāt have family members deported
- 9) little me when I still had thoughts in Portuguese
What a journey man, life is a gift
