It was hard to choose a single photo to share of someone as kind, as thoughtful, as organized, and as travel-forward as Bre
@wrongbutreallyright . In the 13 years I've known this powerhouse, she has introduced me to people and places I will never forget, and she supported me during one of THE hardest years of my life. 2020 was rough on everyone, but one instance I will never forget is when she and I were enjoying her birthday trip in Amsterdam, I got two back-to-back phone calls letting me know that one of my dearest friends passed away, as did her nephdog, Sir Bleucious Left Foot, on the same day. Despite our Netherlands adventure being for and about her, she immediately switched into Olivia Pope mode and started handling business while I melted down.
Bre has experienced as much loss and life upheaval as anyone, yet she still remembers to send good luck envelopes for Chinese New Year, always asks if I've eaten, and doesn't hesitate to pull my coattail at the very *hint* that I am about to go off the rails. I don't know how she does it, but she just knows.
I ultimately chose this photo because it is a fantastic representation of who Bre is: a true friend, no matter what. Despite not always being on the same continent, she is the person who will show up to celebrate you, even if it means braving a snowstorm in Boston, no questions asked.
Bre is fierce, she is smart, she is beautiful in every way, and I am grateful for her and her love, every day. She is my Sister, and I pray for nothing but great things for her today on her birthday, and every day.
