Designing this apartment was about balance - where modern clarity meets memory and material warmth. Layers, textures, and levels come together to create a space that feels both intimate and open. Nature slips in through greenery, earthy tones, and honest materials, softening the edges. Art, objects, and bespoke furniture crafted locally anchor the space in craft and context. Lighting does more than illuminate - it shapes mood, quietly transforming each room. For my NRI clients, this isn’t just a house. It’s a return, reimagined. #studio42

Three Portal House . The primary bedroom features a sculptural bed paired with a complementary study, set against the same warm material palette that flows through the rest of the house. An intimate court draws in natural light, while the pergola casts shifting shadows throughout the day. . Photographs: @theendlessforms . . . #Bedroom #PuneArchitects #BedDesign #Study #Courtyard

Poise | Edition of 5 A stack of rounded forms placed one over the other to create a lighting object. - Poise by Length Breadth Height looks at balance as something that is built, not fixed. The object does not rely on symmetry. Instead, each part adjusts to another, creating a steady but slightly tense arrangement. The balance comes from how the forms sit together, not from perfect order. Available for private viewing; by appointment only. Drawing room and Living room As you move forward from the vestibule, the house opens into the drawing room and the double-height living space. The shift in heights amplifies the sense of scale; something you feel before you fully register. This home is deeply infused with art and craft from across the country. At its core is a conscious effort to support craftsmen while building a collaborative circle of designers and artisans within our community. Across the project, we have worked closely with product, lighting, textile designers, and artists, allowing the house to become a shared canvas. These collaborations have helped us create an ever growing design community that thrives and supports each other. A consistent language of tones, hues, and textures is woven in the home through these collaborations. @priyankanaruladesign from @thewickerstory brings in a sculptural ceiling installation, while @harshitajhamtanidesigns designed a double height totem along with her collaborative custom light piece with @length.breadth.height .Anchoring the double-height space is a 12-foot artwork by @shahanshahmittal , and a folding screen by @raasleelatextile created using the traditional Sujani quilt technique and a sculptural art piece by @_houseofsoko_ @_soko225_ that adds another layer of narrative. The furniture pieces like the living room sofa, swing, and centre tables are all designed in-house, responding directly to the space and its evolving story. Excited to share more about the processes behind these collaborations in the coming posts. Photos: @ishifishy

Within the evolving landscape of contemporary Indian design, Length Breadth Height emerges as a practice that reconsiders the relationship between material, form, and everyday use. Working with materials such as alabaster, terracotta, wood, and marble, its pieces are defined by restraint. Rather than asserting presence, the collection settles into its surroundings, creating moments of stillness within domestic environments. In doing so, Length Breadth Height proposes a way of living with objects that are not merely seen, but experienced over time

The moment we walked into this home for the first time, two thoughts stayed with us. First, we would love to live here ourselves. Second, if not, how would we style it in a way that truly feels lived in? This home already had a beautiful character of its own. Warm wood tones, bold concrete surfaces, full French windows bringing in natural light all day, and that open view of the Morni hills — it felt special from the very beginning. The brief from the client was simple, just as you would hope. They wanted the house to feel like a real home. Soft ivory tones, touches of black, and objects that feel easy to live with. But what stayed with us most was how deeply they understood quiet, understated luxury. What you see above are a few glimpses from our styling journey — the colours we brought in to lift the space, and the sculptural objects we placed to give it depth, balance, and a sense of grounding. Slide 1 Our rust sculpture. The sweeping lines of rusted metal against the raw stone blocks brought a strong, grounded feeling to the space. Under that dramatic light, the shadow almost became a part of the piece itself. Thank you @079stories for helping us create this grounding effect. Slide 2 Our rust sculpture in the space. Slide 3 Our custom-made artwork and feature wall, beautifully completed with the @length.breadth.height wall sconce — used here more like a quiet design detail than just a source of light. Slide 4 Our custom artwork wall in the space. The contrast of sharp stone forms in the foreground, the smooth black marble, and then the softer seating beyond created a lovely sense of depth. It brought strength and softness together in a very honest way.
