Obscure when dry, revealed when it rains.
A first approach to a series that I’ve been thinking about for a while - glass lanterns that preserve my personal memories. They respond to weather, to moisture, to the unconscious logic of when things choose to appear. The last pic is a manifestation of showing it at the center of a pond inside a Chinese garden 🥹🤞

Our Hot Glass Hangouts have been some of our favorite nights at UrbanGlass—bringing artists, neighbors, and curious visitors together for live glassmaking and a welcoming studio vibe. This free monthly demo series spotlights the many talents of our studio community - technicians, administrators, and teaching artists as they share the work they love to do across our studios.
From hotshop teamwork to flame and kiln-based processes, every Hangout offers something a little different—and a chance to see the creativity and collaboration that go into shaping glass. Visitors can meet local artists, explore the studios, and shop a pop-up Studio Sale featuring beautiful glassware and jewelry made by members of our community.
