When I was in high school, I used to go to Powell’s bookstore and get one of the big W magazines out and learn to draw by drawing all the editorial spreads. This exercise I did today was from a diesel ad from a W magazine 2013 that I bought it a secondhand store. What you need: Bristol board smooth surface soft willow vine charcoal, a kneaded eraser and a white pencil eraser. Draw for 20 minutes then wipe it down to erase it draw for another 20 minutes then wipe it down to erase it then draw for 40 minutes if you get stuck or hit a wall, wipe it down and erase it and just start over again if you start to fall in love with the shapes that you’re creating just keep going don’t erase it but the first two wipe downs are mandatory. This was a massive protest, it feels good to know we have such incredible solidarity. It is clear that the only way we collectively have power over our government and its horrible despicable choices if we have a mass General Strike. There’s no other way. We have 70,000 people stuck in concentration camps across the US for no certain amount of time, who have not been convicted in a court of law for any crime. We have a tyrant starting illegal wars compromising our safety, economy and constitution. Trump and his administration will stop at nothing until they can make as much money possible off our dead or incarcerated bodies.
