my new project ‘Running With Scissors’ is finally born. i’m more proud of this album than anything i’ve ever made. it represents my journey towards a more empowered and balanced version of myself - towards a version of Cavetown i feel better showcases the person i am now and the way i want to exist in the world. taking risks is scary, but i am also brave. thank you for helping me learn bravery. thank you to the new listeners who are excited to join me in this new direction. thank you to the fans who have seen me and embraced all my phases of being. i’m blessed to grow up alongside you.

the past buncha months have been so long and busy and it all feels like a blur of experiences. but i’ve been drawing pretty consistently and enjoying messying up this journal i bought in new zealand. i wanted to make a video of what it feels like to flip through it and remember the days around when i did each drawing.
