Théo Ferreira Gomes (*1993, Niterói/Brazil), alias DJ Theory, is a transdisciplinary researcher working between sound, community programming, and curating. His conceptual and research-driven approach oftentimes evolves in relation to practices of DJing: collecting and sharing music, listening and attunement, dialoguing and vibing with communities in movement. He weaves this method into a variety of sound-based formats, including hybrid club nights or performances, audio essays, and listening sessions. Together with Kosmas Phan Dinh, he initiated »The Sonic and the Void«, a series of music sharing circles exploring the politics of silence and listening at the margins of the audible. He is a member of the label LAFmusik based in the Northern Black Forest and hosts the show »NAM: Non-Aligned Music« on Stuttgart’s Full Beans Radio.
Moving between militant riddims and noisy textures, this mix for Fritto FM explores the weirder fringes of Techno and abstract electronic dance music. The mix was a chance to explore experimental grooves that rarely find their way onto a dancefloor. Some of the artists included are Sayf from the label Corrupt Territories, Xterea from 5TempleGate, and producer & researcher Speakermusic.

Kicking off my residency at @frittofm , first episode online.
There's a boundary between inside and outside. Between what is seen and what is hidden.
Behind half-closed blinds, one observes without being noticed. Outside, faces lost in thought as they walk, cars inching forward in traffic, silent conversations made up of facial expressions and gestures. The world goes on, unaware of your gaze.
Here, the hidden space is explored, what remains inside comes out. Echoes of stories, fleeting thoughts, details that remain beyond the windows, invisible but present.
Sound crosses this threshold. It suggests, evokes, brings to light what the eye often ignores.
