As most of you know Iām autistic and if you know didnāt now you do š
When I was diagnosed I went through a lot of different feelings. Relief because I finally had some answers. Sadness because I felt misunderstood all time (though this still happens). Some anger cause what if this was figured out earlier in my life could things have been different.
Now fast forward to today I have love and respect for my brain. Even tho it operates differently it has never operated wrongly.
This has helped me to live way more comfortably now. Iām not ashamed of myself when I stim or fidget. Iām more comfortable saying when Iām overstimulated and need quiet time.
Iām just me and thatās all Iāve ever needed to be š
