We are thrilled to introduce Vince Warren (@legalhack ) Executive Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights (@CCRjustice ), as the first of our three special honorees for our 20th anniversary gala on May 21st! For almost two decades, Vince has led innovative legal and policy strategies at CCR, resulting in groundbreaking victories in and out of the courtroom.
Using the rule of law as a positive force for social change, CCR has opened up new ground for organizers and communities to hold governments responsible for violating human rights, redress structural inequities, and build a just and equitable future for all. Recently, when Palestinian activist & #ColumbiaUniversity student #MahmoudKhalil was arrested, removed from his home and pregnant wife, and taken to Louisiana without due process, CCR quickly joined the legal team working to return him to his family and defend his first amendment rights. Under Vince's leadership, CCR has challenged the Trump Administration's efforts to suppress our universal human rights. We are honored to mark our 20th anniversary by celebrating his work and his impactful leadership.
