IT'S 🪇🪇🪇🪇🪇 QUICK TIP THURSDAY!!! 🪇🪇🪇🪇🪇
This week's tip is: Let your mind and body process the information!!
Have you ever practiced something like a song, setlist, pattern, section... for an extended period of time (let's say an hour) and still couldn't get it down after the session? It happens and it's normal. After a while, your brain and body get tired of working on / repeating the same thing over and over again. You need to take a break and allow yourself to process all the information you're taking in. After a while, go back and try again! Odds are you'll see improvement, compared to your previous try! "We wake up, eat, get tired, go to sleep, repeat". We need our sleep to reset our battery and get through the day. Same thing goes for practice.... SORTA... Your mind/ body are working, eat the information you feed it, and eventually need some rest to reset. Ok, it sounds funny, but I'm sure you get what I'm saying!
That's it for this one! I hope this video was informative/helpful for some of you. Remember to take breaks from the same exercise and allow yourself to actually understand what you're doing and process all the information. Sometimes, taking some time off actually saves you some time! Try it out, next time you're learning something challenging. It'll definetely help!
