someone lives here
performs my habits

i almost knock

a stunning luminescent orange rust has been forming on the altar overnight and still is spreading as the cement continues to cure,
i could have guessed that the already rusty metal elements would rust more while exposed to moisture for an extended period of time, but i never could have dreamed that it would crawl all over the piece.
now to figure out if there was anything in particular in my mixture that has promoted this acceleration so i can reproduce it and collect some scrapings for a hopefully bright orange pigment for my chalk sticks, inks or paints.
(attempts with hydrogen peroxide, salt and vinegar on unrusted tin have been unsuccessful so far.)

set with various objects procured from the factory site __ incense cones and sticks made from site material __ chalk sticks made from chalk and pigments sourced on site __ piles stacked from rounded pebbles, dented metal balls, screws and bolts found on site, topped with a handmade chalk ball that mimics the found balls __ small labour intensive pencil drawing to encourage prolonged attention to site shapes

about whether an abandoned industrial site can be approached as a teacher of liminality, and whether the tension of its multitude of living, contradicting ghosts is something that can be attempted to be held in ritual and playful experimentation, rather than attempted to be resolved in neurotic drive for whatever is perceived as progress , or neurotic guilt for whatever is perceived as unnatural destructive impact ,
whether it could already be at all times exactly what it needs to be, and if what it needs to be now is a playground in which we can experiment with new perspectives on the organism/environment jazz .
some flicks of experiments and the laboratory :P the paints are processed from materials scavenged from the site, the oracles are varying attempts to relinquish need for authority and suspend projection to find new ways of intuitive communication with the environment etc i think i’ll make some videos :]
