Working with fifth generation plaster artist @alachin77 of #lachin ornamental on custom ceiling medallions for an 1855 Garden District home. It is such a privilege to collaborate with artisans of his caliber and wealth of information.
We awoke this week to our courtyard heavily dusted with sweet lemony-fragrant blossoms from a large old Sweet Olive (Osmanthus fragrans) tree that forms an arching canopy over our outdoor space. If only IG had a “scratch and sniff” feature so I could share the lovely aroma. These ornamental Chinese trees bloom intermittently from late October through April, triggered by a sudden change in temperature. #manna #fragrant #sweetolive #courtyard #blossoms
