This is Wax Platter: a new vinyl-only concept event inspired by the rise of hi-fi/listening bars in cities such as London, Berlin and Tokyo. These venues offer a refined listening experience of electronic music, usually centred around downtempo and deep house cuts, ideal to sit in the background of drinks out with your friends.
This is the concept we want to bring to Spalding, with the belief that there is nowhere to go anymore where you can just sit in a nice venue, sun shining, having a cold drink and listening to some music as you chat amongst your friends. It’s no party. No rave. Just a casual setting with great music and great vibes.
So please come join us on Saturday for our debut pop-up event, and let the chefs cook up some delicious digs, served fresh off the platter!

Having supported Sammy Virji and playing at Mint Festival you can expect to hear some of the best in this mix.

Rarely ever share music other than a story or two but I’ve been working hard on it lately and these are the results from the last couple of months, heavily inspired by my experiences at lost village from my goat joy orb and the likes of overmono, ben ufo etc. Also feel like the tunes are starting to reach a level that I’m confident in so here’s a few cuts and maybe will start getting them mixed and mastered and put them out properly 😬 (headphones best for them subs)
What an absolute blast the return of flower parade was Playing tunes on a fuck off size soundsytem round Spalding with the boys was absolutely jokes, then warming up the new venue for possibly the best @arc_presents to date rounded off the day nicely.
So much time and effort went into planning everything and was hands downs the most stressful thing I’ve done, but really was worth it in the end so a massive thanks to everyone who showed their support and to all the dj’s, venue and staff, sound techs, lorry drivers, sponsors and parade organisers. Hopefully be back next year again but in the mean time arc will be back in July ⚡️
