One D1 candidate would disagree. Protect our waters. Preserve our way of life.

Day 5 of GooglePay declining donations to my local campaign. We have lost a substantial amount of donations because of this. This last would be donation was from a family member. They are actively interfering. Honest question, any other D1 candidates having an issue?

Got the tools out today and made a cabinet out of left over scraps from old projects.

My campaign has had more individual donors than all of the candidates running for District 1 combined. This is what hard work looks like. Thank you to everyone who has shown support. We are going to win this. Voteadamjohnson.com

Happy Mother’s Day to my wife. Thank you for all that you give of yourself to our kids every day—your unwavering love, boundless patience (tested daily), and quiet strength throughout the years that has held our family together. You are truly irreplaceable and the heart of our home.

I want to personally thank Gary Rysak for helping me raise $400 toward my campaign after sharing our gun debate online. You are helping to make sure Manatee County stays out of the hand of communists. Voteadamjohnson.com

Some people have been right to suggest that I am not campaigning in a traditional sense. I take that as a compliment. I'm not a politician. I'm just me. I'm your neighbor and enjoy cheeseburgers and car shows after church with my family on a Sunday afternoon. The difference between the politicians running for county commission in district one and me, is I've not curated myself or positions to be popular. You know who I am and where I unapologetically stand. Voteadamjohnson.com

This might be news to many of you, but my initial federal prosecutor, Patrick Scruggs, was arrested 2 years ago for stabbing a motorist in front of a dozen witnesses on the Howard Franklin bridge. He was facing 3 felony counts and up to life in prison. Today, he made a deal with the state and was sentenced. It was a gross miscarriage of justice and an obvious display of a two tiered system. As someone who has lived this first hand, I can tell you corruption runs as deep locally as it does nationally. That's why I'm getting involved. I won't stand by and let these things go unnoticed, and I won't be quiet about them.

Imagine fighting me, who went to prison for fighting for free and fair elections, and remaining silent while other neighbors are lamenting that Trump wasn't assassinated last night. Priorities matter. Fighting locally means understanding your enemy at large and knowing how to engage them and stop them before they get more power. There is a balance here. In the pursuit of the preservation of Manatee County, do not align yourself with the enemy for short term gains. Long term victories start with clear goals and the right people.
