Deep in the outskirts of Cancún, México, lies an unlikely place where the word “Miracle” is used in a literal sense.
A sanctuary where La Virgen Desatadora de Nudos—the “Un-Tier” of knots—is worshipped. Wishes, or “knots”, are transformed into beautiful displays of white passageways, and gratitude for untied knots or granted wishes is expressed through colorful, hand-crafted knots.
This incredible success story attracts over 1 million devotees each year and is a testament to the visionary work of Father @padreluispablo and his talented, passionate, and hardworking team.
I had the honor of working as an AC on my first feature-length documentary, brought to you by @luciagbm ‘s @boscofilms_sp , directed by @vincent_mottez , with the delicate and iconic vision of DP @javiergarciamartinez_ , and @mexicogaffer being the gaffer and glue that held the team together.
Very grateful for the opportunity to see how true filmmaking professionals put their minds and hearts to work in an intense 5-day production with an ever evolving shedule and unpredictable weather.
