I’ll be honest…..
I didn’t grow up in church. I went here and there, but I wasn’t shaped by worship music. It never really moved me. It often felt expected. Predictable.
Because of that, it’s rare for a song to actually stop me. To make me reflect. To pull something real out of my soul toward God.
But this one did.
I experienced it live at the @2819church gathering, and it wasn’t contrived. It wasn’t emotional manipulation. The Spirit of God was present, weighty, & undeniable. People weren’t performing… they were responding.
That moment stayed with me.
Now I get to point people to something different.
Something honest. Something selfless.
Not music trying to move you, but music that meets you where you are and lets God do the rest.
It doesn’t fit a system. It doesn’t follow a formula.
But God never did.
