This Sunday, May 17, at 9:30 a.m, meet at Muscoot Farm for the Spring Run the Farm 5 Mile Trail Race @runthefarmny @kidsrunthefarm . This course starts from the farm and follows the outlying trails around Muscoot but in the opposite direction as the fall course. 8:30 a.m. Kids’ Race (7 to 12-year-olds) 8:45 a.m. Kids’ Race 2 (6 and under) 9:30 a.m. 5 Mile Race Cobweb Crew starts at 5:00 a.m. from Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Meadow Lot, for a few miles before the race. If you’re not racing, come to the farm anyway, volunteer, or just hang out. But if you want to run in the Rez at 7:00 or 8:00, meet at the Meadow and run one of the 3×8 Mile Twisted Loops. Those are always fun. SATURDAY: MICHIGAN ROAD LOT On Saturday, May 16, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Michigan Road lot Lot, when we run the Michigan to RT loop. You’ll have options of 6, 7, and 8-mile courses all of which traverse a good section of the Rock Trail. Early Risers start at 6:00 for a few extra miles. @sundayruns Looking for a mid-week run? This Sunday, May 10, at 8:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Meadow lot, when we run the Meadow to Raven Rocks Loop. We’ll head south from the meadow on the CB trail and make one of three loops before returning via FH. You’ll get a chance to stretch your legs on some of the fastest trails in the Rez. Options include a 4.5, 6.2, and 8.5 mile loop. Cobweb Crew starts at 5:00; Early Risers at 7:00 for a few extra miles. Rookie Runners start at 7:00 for an easier pace and shorter distance. Walkers/Hikers start at 8:00 on a short course of around 4 miles. @sundayruns SATURDAY: TRAILSIDE MULTILOOP On Saturday, May 9, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Trailside Nature Museum Lot, ready to Trailside Multiloop (or as it’s been called—the death spiral ultra). You have several options for distances but I suggest Early Risers start at 6:00 with the four-mile loop then at 7:00 run the 6.5 or 8 mile course. Looking for a mid-week run? You’re covered. Walkers/Hikers start at 8:00 on a short course of around 4 miles. @sundayruns SATURDAY: LOOPS OF LEVY On Saturday, May 2, at 7:00 a.m., meet at the Leon Levy Preserve lot, 2-50 Smith Ridge Rd, South Salem, NY (that’s the closest Google Maps will give me), ready to run a convoluted course of around 7 miles and using every trail in the park including the Levy East half mile extension. Cobweb Crew meets at 5:00 a.m. No Rookie Runners session or official 7:00 a.m. start this week. Don’t forget to ARRIVE EARLY! Please plan to arrive at the park before 8:15 a.m. — or even earlier if you can swing it. For more information, visit leathermansloop.org SATURDAY: MEADOW LOT On Saturday, April 25, at 7:00 a.m., meet at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Meadow Lot, when we run the Meadow Museum, Fire Tower, to Michigan loop. Sure, this looks like last Sunday’s run, but you can never get enough of this course. We’ll run this in a clockwise direction as marked and runners have the opportunity to run distances from 5 to 8.5 miles. Early Risers start at 6:00.
