Chants of Eternal War An exhibition in January this year exploring tics, stress, and anxiety through a sci-fantasy framework curated by @leask_5000 . Rather than approaching these experiences abstractly, Leask translates them into a physical narrative using sculpture and installation. The goblin-like figure, under the character name Leask Vermin represents the tic itself; an invasive presence that spreads through the body under stress and anxiety, mutating and reappearing in different forms. The Space Marines function as symbols of resistance. They do not represent resolution or victory, but the sustained effort to manage, contain, and push back against involuntary movement and stress responses. By staging this conflict as a speculative battle, the exhibition externalises an internal neurological process, rendering something typically invisible into a spatial and observable form. The work does not propose a cure or an ending, but documents the ongoing tension between control and loss of control. A collaborative work by @amosnappo appears within the installation as a large-scale gun sculpture. This piece operates as a functional element within the narrative, a weapon used by the Space Marines in their attempt to combat the Leask Vermin. Over the last few years, I’ve developed mild tics, a physical response to stress and anxiety that’s become a constant presence in my life. My music has always been a reflection of that intrusive, involuntary feeling and the struggle that comes with it. My new single, Rising (feat.
