Just finished my work for @nick_stath ‘s interior design course! It’s been such an awesome journey stumbling around here and there but also picking up many useful technical skills :) The brief I chose was to design the spaceship living quarters for a crew of 8 travelling to a distant planet in the year 2050. The given notes were to keep the architectural style elegant, functional, and utilitarian and also include specific areas the living quarters would need (main entry, kitchen, lounge, etc.) I decided to have the dining table to be the centrepiece of my living space as I wanted to design a multifunctional table that can be used for mission planning too, with the hologram features! I also considered to combine the garden and kitchen area by having the vegetation beds be accessible over the countertop via sliding glass panels that the crew can easily reach into. It made sense to keep the vegetation near the cooking area for the crew’s maximum convenience. Many thanks to Nick for keeping the course easy to follow especially for beginner design students.
