These teaching clocks are fantastic. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of clocks that you can buy that will help a child to tell the time.
But very few of them are geared, so they don’t really appreciate that the minutes create the hours. And that time is continuous - it doesn’t “jump” from hour to hour.
Schools use little clocks like these ones but in my experience, they’ve normally been busted by dozens of well meaning little fingers!
You can buy a set of half a dozen for around £15 and split them with your Mum friends. I got mine from @learningresources (not a paid ad).
With learning to tell the time persistence and repetition really pay off.
And let’s face it, when you look at the clock on the wall to get your child to tell the time it’s so unlikely to be bang on a convenient 3 o’clock.
