A new journey begins.
We are excited to welcome a new cohort of apprentices starting their first day through our partnership with Resilient People.
The day began with an orientation session where the team was welcomed into the Learning Lions community and introduced to the journey ahead.
This cohort brings together Learning Lions graduates and refugee youth, young people ready to grow, learn, and build meaningful careers through digital work.
Through partnerships like this, training becomes opportunity, and opportunity becomes transformation.

Today, we were happy to host delegates from Inkomoko, a leading African social enterprise supporting entrepreneurs through training, advisory services, and access to financing.
The session brought together Learning Lions graduates and freelancers who are passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, and building sustainable futures through their ideas and businesses.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about:

NAWI – Dear Future Me is more than a film. It is a reflection of reality for millions of girls whose futures are decided before they have the chance to choose.
Across the world, over 640 million girls and women were married before they were ready. In Turkana, this is a lived experience.
NAWI tells the story of courage, resilience, and the fight to protect a girl’s future.
But the impact goes beyond the screen. Together with partners, we are supporting girls’ education, creating safe spaces, and driving conversations to end child marriage. NAWI is now streaming on Angel Studios

Empowerment in action
Recently, our TechDada community, both new and alumni, came together for a powerful workshop to reconnect, learn, and uplift one another.
It was a space for women in tech to share experiences, grow together, and be reminded of their value and potential.
We were inspired by Rebecca Mmbone, who spoke about safeguarding and the importance of being strong role models for the next generation of girls.
We also heard from Derick Nginya, highlighting the role men play in supporting women’s empowerment through the HeForShe initiative.
